Stairwell Door Access Stairwells are the back door to every floor. Lock them, safely.
Card locks on every stairwell door: residents tap in, anyone can exit, and every door opens in a fire.

Today's reality
Today anyone in the stairwell can walk onto any floor. Card locks on every stairwell door let residents tap in, let anyone exit, and release every door when the fire alarm sounds.
Our approach
Card entry from the stairwell, free exit, fire release.
From the door to the log, in four steps.
Tap to enter floor
Card reader on the stairwell side.
- RFID card entry on the stairwell side of every door

Free to exit
Push button on the corridor side.
- 600 lbs fail-safe EM lock on each door

Forced? Siren
Siren plus control room and phone alert.
- Push-button free exit from the corridor side

Fire? All open

Why RS Techwin
Built, installed and watched by one team.
In-house engineering
We build and customise our systems rather than resell boxes, so a solution can be shaped to the building instead of the other way round.
Our own technicians
Installation, commissioning and repairs are done by RS Techwin staff who know the site.
One ecosystem
Eleven solutions from one vendor that share one dashboard and one maintenance contract, so nothing falls between suppliers.
Platform integration
Every door and barrier reports to the same platform.
Every solution reports to the same platform, so an alert from one system can be checked against the others.

Platform
Who tapped, who drove in, what the camera saw
Card, face, palm and plate events sit beside the camera feeds on the AI visual monitoring platform, so a guard can check an entry against the picture from that moment.
Field-operations app
Readers and barriers serviced on record
A reader, lock or barrier fault reaches the technician in the field-operations app with the door's details; the visit, checklist and photos are logged as they happen.
Control room and maintenance
Alarms seen by people who can act
Forced-door and blacklist alerts reach our control room as well as the guardhouse, and the same team services the readers, locks and barriers it installed.

Frequently asked questions
Who is it for?
Residential high-rises.
Does it work with the cards our residents already carry?
The readers take RFID cards and the same design is used on every door, so it fits into the building's door access rather than running beside it. The survey confirms the card type and the fire alarm interface.
What happens in a fire?
The fire alarm releases every door at once: the 600 lbs EM locks are fail-safe, and the corridor side always has a push-button free exit. A forced or held-open door sounds the siren and alerts the control room and the phone.
Who maintains it?
Our own technicians, under a maintenance contract: scheduled servicing and health reports. The engineers who install a system are the ones who maintain it.
How do we start?
With a site survey: an engineer walks the site, maps entry points and blind spots and reviews what you already have. You then get a clear design and an itemised proposal prepared to support your committee's three-quote process.
